BMW’s G81 M3 Competition Touring is already a unicorn - blending brutal performance with daily practicality - but in the right hands, it becomes something truly special. This particular M3 came through our doors at Eurowerke already wearing some smart modifications, including an O-SPEC downpipe and forward-facing air intakes. The goal? Big power, clean delivery, and full flex-fuel capability.
Smart Hardware, Serious Gains: The Upgrades Behind the Power
To meet the brief, we equipped the S58 platform with a suite of carefully selected upgrades. A REV2 controller and flex-fuel kit from bootmod3 formed the backbone of the ethanol conversion, while a Precision Racewerks Port Injection Kit, and a low-pressure fuel pump (LPFP). Freshly gapped NGK spark plugs completed the prep, laying the groundwork for serious gains.
REV2 & Port Injection: Tested and Proven at Eurowerke
Notably, this G81 is now one of only a handful in Australia running the REV2 Controller and port injection combo - a setup we extensively tested and developed in-house on our own Eurowerke G8X development car. That R&D gave us the confidence to bring this package to market, ensuring both performance and long-term reliability for serious S58 builds. We’re proud to now offer this to more customers chasing the next level.
TUNE+ ECU & xHP TCU Calibration: The Finishing Touch
The car was then custom-tuned in-house using a TUNE+ ECU calibration, optimised for E85, and matched with a refined xHP TCU tune to sharpen gearbox performance.
