On one side sits an E46 M3. More than two decades old, yet thanks to preventative maintenance including rod bearings, VANOS upgrades and rear subframe reinforcement, combined with carefully selected suspension, driveline and braking upgrades, it drives far better than most would expect from a 25-year-old performance car. Hydraulic steering, a proper manual gearbox and a connected driving experience remind us why the E46 M3 remains one of BMW M’s most celebrated creations.
On the other sits a G87 M2 producing an astonishing 591kW and 1047Nm on full E85. Equipped with custom OEM+ rear beadlock wheels and Mickey Thompson drag radials, this modern M car showcases just how capable BMW’s latest performance platforms have become.
