Meet Peter Paul, he’s a Senior Technician that’s been a part of our team since 2022.

PP, short for Peter Paul, is a softly spoken always hard at Werke kind of guy. There’s only one thing he says loudly and that’s “Yes Sir!”, it’s become almost a bell that our whole team hears and warm-heartedly chuckles. PP has a way of making your day brighter without even interacting with you, but that’s the story at present – let’s first go back to where it started.

Peter Paul was born, raised and educated in Philippines - in Romblon Province. Growing up he always had an affection towards the mechanical. He loved cars, planes, boats, everything with an engine. By the time he finished high school this passion was narrowed down to Aircraft and Automotive. PP followed his gut and enrolled at the College for Technical Trades in Manila to study two trades, Aircraft and Automotive Tech.

Passion turns to focus.

After four long years of study and practical Peter Paul graduated and begun the hunt for his future career. During his time at college, he became more found of Automotive so headed in this direction. It didn’t take long for PP to find work, a small workshop that serviced and repaired everyday vehicles. It was near home and well, his foot was now in the door. PP began his career in the Automotive and right about around this time - he also fell in love and was preparing to be married. Wedding bells are always a good alarm, they generally force you to look further into the future – more long term.  Peter Paul had a desire for more in his career, passion and future family. With this desire he began to look elsewhere, overseas.

At 22 years old Peter found work in the Abu Dhabi in the UAE, at an established European New-Car Dealer who had multiple brands under their umbrella and with one ready to welcome PP to the UAE - BMW. Peter and his wife packed their things and moved to UAE to begin their new chapter. As the dust settled Peter loved his new working environment. He loved the state-of-the-art tools and workshop, and all the late model performance cars. He spent 10 years living BMW, training with head office and becoming an accomplished Senior BMW Technician. A more personal thing happened to PP during these first 10 years in the UAE was he and his wife had started a family. Welcoming a beautiful Daughter and Son into the big world.

Now a family man…

After a decade in the same place PP wanted some change, more opportunity to learn and continue to grow.  He kept his search within the UAE and after not much time Peter found a new role, a multi-brand European Specialist Workshop in Dubai. With only a weekend off to handle the move, PP was right back into things now with a little more diversity in his day-to-day work life. Him and his family settled in and enjoyed the change of scenery in Dubai. About a year into their new lives in Dubai Peter met an Aussie bloke at work who just so happened to know Oscar and Ozzy. Him and Peter got along well, so much so he warmly said to Peter if he ever wants to live in Australia, he may just know the right guys to make it happen. He left PP his contact details, but Peter never really gave to much thought to it as he was happy, and so was his family.

Another year passed and things were about to change, not just for Peter Paul and his family, but the whole world. The Covid Pandemic hit, and work stopped, with no other option Peter and his family moved back to Philippines to be back close to family during this uncertain time. As time passed, things only got worse as we can all remember. Until one day PP remembered that Aussie-bloke who said to call, if he ever needed a change. The phone number worked and the two were excited to be chatting again, by the end of the conversation a digital meet and greet to set with Oscar and Ozzy.

Press pause, on everything.

The meet and greet went well (obviously), but with the pandemic in full-swing and our borders being closed there was still many hurdles to jump. Some-time had to pass, but the moment travel rules were relaxed, the paperwork was completed, and Peter was coming down-under to join our EuroWerke team here in Castle Hill, Sydney.

It’s now been nearly 3 years since Peter Paul has joined our team and he’s a point of knowledge and protocol for the younger team. “Yes Sir” is his moto and slogan, you can’t go a day in the Werke-shop without hearing it, bringing a smile to everyone’s face. Now even the apprentices say it, just like Peter. Yes Sirrr! The process to get Peter Paul’s family here down-under is well underway and we cannot wait for them to join him and really start their new lives all-together once again.

We can’t thank Peter enough!

We can’t thank Peter Paul enough for his unmatched consistency in both his character and work ethic. PP has become such an integral component to our team and one that is always willing to help, teach or listen. Thank-you Peter Paul!
