Eurowerke Annual Social Drive 2025: Back to the Valley
Sunday, July 13th delivered another unforgettable chapter in the Eurowerke calendar - our Annual Social Drive to the Hunter Valley, a much-loved event that blends incredible roads, amazing cars, and even better people.
The plan was simple: meet at 7:30am at Berowra Station Car Park, hit the road by 8:00am, and cover just under 100km of tight switchbacks, sweeping bends, and scenic countryside - finishing up with a well-earned breakfast at The Trading Post Laguna.
But by 7:00am, with the mercury barely scraping above 5°C, the first arrivals had already rolled in. Leading the charge was none other than our own G81 M3 Touring promo car - Grimace - proudly showing off its brand-new custom wheels and fresh attitude. Soon after, familiar faces from the Eurowerke family began to arrive. The Pouros’, in their beautifully kept 135i and brand new M240i, claimed their spots, followed closely by Zarah in her Individual E46 Coupe, and two of our most recognised regulars - Thony (MRATED) and Ashleigh (R8TD M).
As the sun crept over the horizon and started to kiss the frost off the trees, the car park began to fill. A few freshly upgraded M2s joined in - including a F87 M2C we had just completed a Gintani Single-Piece Crank Hub on, and a black G87 M2 running a new flex fuel tune courtesy of our friends at Tune+. But it didn’t stop there - heads turned as a BMW M850i rolled in, proudly wearing a stunning set of BBS E88s.
The flow of arrivals didn’t let up. More M2s, a handful of Porsches, a striking Mustang, and even a Lotus Exige took their place in line. By the time the tree-filtered sunlight reached the far corners of the car park, we had everything from a Daihatsu Charade to a Ferrari F430 ready to roll - proof, as always, that a shared passion for driving doesn’t discriminate.
Our route would take us through some of the best driving roads New South Wales has to offer. With only three main intersections, the drive is easy to follow but rewarding in every way - from tight, single-lane twisties to long, double-lane stretches through stunning bushland. For first timers, it’s exciting and accessible. For seasoned drivers, it’s the kind of morning that reminds you why you love cars.
At exactly 8:00am, we hit the road in staggered groups - a result of a particularly stubborn traffic light at the car park exit, which, in hindsight, worked in our favour. The Old Pacific Highway was crawling with highway patrol early on, and being spaced out gave everyone a chance to settle in and enjoy the drive responsibly.
By the time the small groups reformed into one, we were cruising through Peats Ridge Road - flowing, open, and perfectly suited to the mix of cars on hand. As we crested the edge of the Hunter Valley, the landscape changed. Thick fog rolled in, covering the road and surrounding hills in a blanket of white, creating a surreal and dreamlike backdrop for the final leg of the drive.

Our final stop - The Trading Post Laguna - greeted us still cloaked in fog, adding a bit of drama to our arrival. We shuffled roughly 50 cars into a few different paddocks and car spots, and just like that - as if on cue - the fog began to lift, revealing blue skies and sunshine. It was the perfect moment to sit down, warm up, and share stories over breakfast.
For some, the cars were just the bonus - it was all about the company and the coffee. As the morning unfolded, the car park turned into a social hub. Small groups wandered up and down the rows, admiring each other’s pride and joy, coffee cups in hand. You could hear the sound of laughter echo through the trees, with stories from past drives and new friendships forming in real time. This is what makes mornings like these so special - the community around the cars.
A huge thank you to the Trading Post team, who welcomed us with open arms and served up what might’ve been the best coffee some of us had tasted all winter. Their help made the end of our drive just as memorable as the journey.
By 10:30am, small groups began to peel away - some taking the direct route home, others opting to extend the day by continuing along the legendary Putty Road, chasing even more corners and countryside.
