It’s not every day that we see three completely different performance icons lined up outside our Sydney workshop - but when we do, it’s worth talking about.
On the far left, we have a striking BMW G80 M3 Competition, in for a serious round of performance upgrades. Equipped with a flex-fuel kit and custom tuning, this M3 put down an incredible 559rwkW and 961Nm on E50 - a true showcase of what the S58 engine can deliver with the right enhancements.
In the middle, a rare BMW E36 in classic Dakar Yellow. Far from standard, this M3 has been extensively modified with a later model 3.0L engine, Individual Throttle Bodies, a fully upgraded suspension system, and subtle cosmetic improvements. The result? A car that channels pure 1990s DTM race car energy, both in looks and performance.
On the far right, the refined yet potent Volkswagen Mk8 Golf R - the most expensive Golf R ever sold, and sadly the last of its kind. This example was with us for a logbook service and full check-over, proving that not all workshop visits are about chasing lap times - sometimes it’s just about keeping a modern performance car in perfect health.
